Nottingham University NewsThe Crocus Cafe & Bakery will be open in Church Square, Lenton. We will be serving delicious, healthy and affordable homemade food and selling a wide selection of tasty speciality breads and pastries. Hungry? visit us and taste what all the fuss is about!

Click on "read more..." to get the rest of this story.
It all started this summer when the highly successful fair-trade Cafe Lenton had to close its thursday night event at the Red Door Centre opposite the Savoy cinema. But over the summer there has been some active work going on by the students of Nottingham University.

We are opening a community cafe in Lenton which aims to be a warm, comfortable and a friendly place for everyone in Lenton. It will create awareness of fair-trade and strengthen partnerships within Lenton. The cafe is not-for-profit, volunteer led and focussed on reinvesting in the community.

Also don't miss our pre-launch party to celebrate the Cafe's opening on Sat 23rd Oct from 8-11pm. There will be some ambient music, "experimental but non-evasive" electronica in the JR Best room and much much more! Organised by Shoestring Project & 'The Forest' café.

See you all very soon, The Crocus Cafe team.

Visit our website at www.thecrocus.co.uk
