From Spike.There is a program tonight (March 17th) on BBC2 at 21:00 called "If things don't get better". It paints a picture of the UK in 2014 when the gap between rich and poor has grown. After a spate of petty crimes the residents of one London community decide to cordon off their road with private security guards to prevent further problems, and then the trouble really starts. I think this program will be very interesting given our unique point of view from within The Park. This is a link to the programs page I would suggest that we all take a look. spike.. Barrie Bailey of Clare Valley has contributed a response to the proposal from Rayner Davies for pre-planning consultation with regard to the development of the Sun Drive bungalow. If you wish to view the plans for the development the Estate Office has copies.

From Paul East of Rayner Davies Architects...Proposed New Dwelling, Sun Drive, Park Ravine, Nottingham. We have recently completed a scheme to provide a new single dwelling to the site at Sun Drive. A recent planning application (Ref: 03/02000/PFUL3) to provide a 3-storey dwelling on this site was refused due to its scale, height, mass and appearance. The Post Office on Castle Boulevard, close to the Peveril Drive entrance to The Park has been selected for permanent closure due to falling customer numbers. There is a six week consultation period during which you can object to the closure. You can get a form from the branch which will explain the reasons for the decision and the procedure for objecting.
