Red Aviation are having a helicopter open day at Nottingham Airport near Tollerton today and tomorrow. There is a free barbeque and an opportunity to try out some of their aircraft. They will also be happy to sell you a trial lesson and gift vouchers and you can have a look at Truman Aviation's Tiger Moth.

Café Scientifique is a weekly series of talks on scientific and cultural themes held at the WAX bar at 27 Broad Street. You can eat at the cafe and then listen to distinguished speakers from academia hold forth on a diverse range of topics and then argue with them.  The most prestigious event in World Squash will be held in Nottingham for the first time in September/October. A number of sessions will be played at Nottingham Squash Racquets Club in The Park with the rest taking place at The Albert Hall, Nottingham. For further details and tickets Click here.

Here are some forthcoming events at the tennis club.
Sunday September 14th - The Park Sale. A bit like a car boot sale but more posh. Doors open 11am, a stall will cost you £10. Sunday November 2nd - Bonfire Night. Jill Pearson of The Golden Cage, 99 Derby Road is promoting a raffle to raise funds for The Oasis Room, James Breast Cancer Ward, City Hospital (under Registered Charity No. 3193) to improve the poor conditions for breast cancer patients.
