Nottingham Park Estate From the Air
This is an A1 poster size (23" x 33") print with an ultra-high resolution digital image of the estate taken from the air during 2002. The level of detail is very high - it is possible to see a game of tennis in progress at the Park Tennis Club.
Every house in the estate is visible along with The Castle, parts of the Inland Revenue, Harts Restaurant, The Playhouse with The Skymirror and Canning Circus police station. Harts Hotel is under construction. The view from the air emphasises how green the Park is and how many mature trees we have in the estate.
The photo was taken on a beautiful spring day during 2002 by an aircraft belonging to www.GetMapping.com and is at a resolution of 12.5cm on the ground per pixel. This results in a high quality digital print at 300dpi on glossy paper.
Prints of the poster are now for sale through this website and are available from the Park Estate Office. The cost is £20 each and once Dougal and I have recovered our initial investment, a proportion of the proceeds will go to the 2005 Park Gardens Trail appeal. If you would be interested in a poster please email me at webmaster@theparknottingham.co.uk or call in at the estate office between 10am and 1pm. Due to the high cost of producing the print, the initial print run was limited to 25 copies while we ascertain the level of demand. Assuming that we haven't sold all of them, the posters will also be available at the Nottingham Park Residents Association meeting on December 1st.
