registered: Jan. 2003 Posts: 6 Status: offline last visit: 24.02.07	There was an excellent programme on TV the other night which explained how to freely check your own and neighbours' council tax. Also to find the prices of all houses sold in your area for the last 5 years and a calculator to work out current prices. Plus the procedure how to claim back any overpaid tax if you are in the wrong band. All the links can be found at www.itv.com/tonight but beware that all relevant sites are currently unobtainable due to the tremendous demand. However, you can submit your email and you will be informed when things are back to normal. Personally I believe that most old if not all property in the Park was simply assessed on the old rates and was probably under rather than over-estimated.
