At some stage most of us have gone over our credit limit or failed to settle a credit card on time. Nowadays the charges are not so draconian but about a year ago I was charged £30 and £28. I read somewhere that you can claim a refund up to 7 years from the event, so I wrote to my bank stating I thought these charges were unfair and would they please refund me. Hey presto, by return I received a letter and £58 refund with the usual proviso that this was an act of goodwill on their part.
So have a go and see how you get on !
