Hi,
A group of us (three) are starting law school in Nottingham next september and have heard that the park is the best place to get accomodation in the private sector. If anyone here hears of a property for rental in the park from august or thereabouts please post a reply...
Thanks a million.

The Park is probably the most expensive place to get accomodation in the private sector (the best is perhaps another matter). You should consider some of the new city living style complexes - some aimed specifically at studetns, others more general, as perhaps better suited to your needs.

Have a good look around and don't be disheartened. Nottingham is now so over-developed that rare gems can be found in the Park. I know of many medical/legal and other students who have lived in the Park. The location is perfect for walking to QMC, Nottingham Uni and NTU. The edges and so called 'Park Borders' are often cheaper (Standard Hill, parts of Derby Rd, Ropewalk etc) but often you'll see more keenly priced ones on Lenton Rd, Castle Blvd, Fishpond Drive, Hope Drive, Lenton Avenue. Although relatively expensive it's good to have a nice place to live that is quiet and, although by no means perfect, fairly safe. Car crime is a worry but crime against a person (mugging etc) is probably less so. Good luck!
